The legacy of Khaya
The Foundation was born out of a single conviction: Honouring the Legacy of a Life Well Lived — A Passion for Education and Excellence.
Khaya upheld the values of humility and hard work throughout his life. The Foundation carries that forward by removing the financial barriers that stop capable students at the very last hurdle, and by rewarding the learners who work hardest.

How support actually reaches a student
Identify the deserving student
Assemble a selection committee to identify students who are high achieving but financially distressed.
Determine criteria for selection
Set and publish transparent criteria for the selection of student beneficiaries.
Award excellence
Award deserving students and support them all the way through to graduation.
Incentivise Grade 12 learners
Reward the high achievers within a district and inspire the learners coming behind them.
Form partnerships
Form partnerships with district under department of basic education.
